A Dementia-Friendly Environment
We’ve created a calm, secure setting where residents living with dementia can feel safe, supported and included. Familiar spaces, clear signage, memory prompts and consistent routines all help to reduce anxiety and support independence.
Our staff are dementia-trained and receive regular updates to ensure the care they provide reflects the latest understanding of dementia and how best to support those living with it.
Staying Connected
Connection matters. Whether it’s chatting over lunch, looking through old photographs, or enjoying visits from children, animals and musicians, we make sure every resident feels part of daily life at Redlands.
Many of our residents also benefit from our close relationship with Friend in Deed, who regularly bring young visitors to the home—creating moments of real joy, curiosity and laughter across generations.
Supporting Families Too
We know how hard it can be for families when a loved one is living with dementia. That’s why we’re here to offer reassurance, guidance and regular communication.
We also host monthly dementia café mornings, giving carers and family members a chance to meet others in similar situations, ask questions, and take a well-earned break with a cup of tea.
